I work remote and I am so tired of my apartment walls. Looking for coffee shops where you can actually post up for a few hours and get real work done, not the ones that give you the side eye after one drink or blast music so loud you cannot think.
Good wifi, outlets, and a vibe that lets you stay a while. Doesn't have to be fancy. Where do you all go when you need to grind outside the house?
Verve on Melrose is my move honestly. Good wifi, actual outlets, and nobody bothers you if you nurse a cold brew for three hours. I basically use it as a second office.
Depends on the day for me. If I need to lock in and really focus I go to Dinosaur Coffee on Sunset, smaller, quiet, solid wifi, and the crowd is mostly other people working so nobody is loud.
If I want a little more energy around me I will hit Balconi in Sawtelle. Just get there before the lunch rush or you will fight for a table and an outlet. The coffee is good enough that I do not feel bad camping.
Downtown has gotten so good for this!! Verve at the Bloc is my spot, huge windows, tons of outlets, and the espresso is genuinely amazing. I can spend a whole afternoon there and never feel rushed. Also Maru if you want somewhere a little calmer and more design-y. Both never disappoint.
Aww I feel this so much, working from home can get lonely fast. My go to is Cognoscenti in Culver City. It is a little on the pricier side but they never make you feel like you have overstayed, and the staff is so kind.
If I am watching my budget that week I will just get one drink and stretch it, and honestly nobody has ever given me a look. Bring headphones though, it can get a little chatty around midday. Still my happy place to get things done.
Cafe de Leche in Highland Park. Neighborhood spot, real people actually working, nobody rushing you out. That is the whole vibe over here on the eastside and I would not trade it.
Ok saving this whole thread lol, I have the same problem. I usually end up at Alana's Coffee Roasters near Marina del Rey, chill patio and my dog can sit with me outside which is a huge plus. Wifi holds up fine for calls too. Just get there early on weekends or the tables fill up fast.
You guys are way too fancy. Just get a Keurig, it does the job. I wouldn’t drive anywhere just to get a coffee, but it’s an LA thing I guess. 
Try Drip and Dolce on Santa Monica Blvd.. they have great vegan food options as well.
Great croissants, matcha, and service. The strawberry matcha is king.

Sorry, it doesn't really match the criteria you asked for, but I want to share this place anyway. It’s called LOKL HAUS (Santa Monica). They have amazing Turkish coffee and their Avocado toast is the best I've ever had.
