Do people go out alone here, or is sitting at a bar by yourself still weird?

I will just go out if the night is there. Do people go out alone here, or is sitting at a bar by yourself still weird. I do not need a big group. I need a counter where you can sit, order, and not look like you got stood up.

Thunderbolt on Temple. Sit at the bar, one drink, nobody makes it a thing. That is as solo as LA gets without feeling sad about it.

Seven Grand downtown. Whiskey, a stool, I mind my business. Sitting alone is normal if you pick a real bar instead of a loud club.

The Varnish on 6th, behind Cole's. Dark, serious drinks, and the room is built for the bar rail. I have gone by myself after work downtown and nobody clocked it as a statement. You order, you sit, you leave when you are done.

Bar Covell on Hollywood Blvd. Wine bar, conversation if you want it, silence if you do not. I have sat there after a remote day and it never felt like I needed a plus one to justify the stool.

Death & Co in the Arts District if I want the cocktail to be the point. I will go alone, sit at the bar, and leave before it turns into a scene. The drink is the company. I am not hunting a table for six.

I am past the Santa Monica Blvd hop. Sitting alone is only weird if you pick a club that expects a pack. A real bar stool is normal. I will sit, have one, go home. LA is full of people eating dinner on their phones. A solo whiskey is not the strange part of that picture. Pick a counter, not a velvet rope, and nobody cares.

Nope, not weird at all. I go out alone pretty often, especially if I just want a drink and don’t feel like coordinating with five people. Sitting at the bar makes it feel totally normal.

If you’re in Echo Park, Spirit House is a good solo spot. Small, moody, good cocktails, darker lighting and sitting at the bar by yourself wouldn’t look strange at all.

In case you want something more relaxed, Lucky Tiki in West Hollywood is hidden upstairs and pretty intimate, so you’re not walking into some huge room where you feel like everyone notices you. Perfect place in case you go alone.

Yep, not a bad place. Went there a couple times. They have some good food as well. Cocktails are a bit expensive, but nice place for singles. Can get a bit crowded on weekends.
