Friends are dragging me out tonight and they want a karaoke room in K-town. Which ones are actually good?
Rosen Karaoke is where I always end up. Rooms are clean and the song list actually stays current.
Palm Tree Karaoke if you want it loud and late. Bit of a drive from the Marina but worth it.
On a Saturday you really want to reserve ahead. Walking in after nine means standing in the lobby while the good rooms are full.
Rosen Karaoke and Feel Karaoke are both reliable, expect roughly forty to sixty an hour depending on room size and how late you go, and most K-town rooms let you bring snacks but not your own bottle, so do not build the night around corkage. Four of us walked out at about forty each with drinks last time.
If your friends want a scene instead of a private room, Break Room 86 inside the Line Hotel is the other direction entirely. Live band, dancing, karaoke in the back. Fun night, but no quiet room to hide in.
We did Gaam Karaoke for a birthday and it was so much fun, the rooms are huge and they let us run over our time slot without making it weird!!
Eat before you go though, the food is fine but you are there to sing, not to have dinner.
Karaoke in Koreatown can be a hit or miss.
The one I love is Blah Blah if you can get a room. Cleaner than most K-town noraebangs, you got a parking lot in the back and the AC actually works.
Not the cheapest place, but you don’t walk out feeling scammed.
Since you are not a “social butterfly”.. skip Brass Monkey unless y’all want to sing in front of strangers. That’s a different night.
Like some mentioned before .. private room = Rosen or Blah Blah. Eat first so you’re not paying $20 for nachos.
I am not really into “loud and huge” crowds. ![]()
Thank you for the recommendations. Let’s see if Blah Blah or Rosen have space.
If K-town rooms are booked, don’t force it. Mic Drop in WeHo has private rooms and is one of the best in L.A. County. It’s a short drive, yeah, but rooms are nicer than a lot of the old Karaoke places.
I would still call first because Saturday fills up.
I would put “dots space Karaoke” right on the same level. It’s my first choice in L.A..
The rooms have an amazing vibe. Really a great place for groups. Food & drinks are absolutely superb. Service is fast and friendly. Better than most places in K-Town. Yeah, it’s Sawtelle, but I had to drop the name in here..
I did some research on that one and Mic Drop. I kinda like both of them more than the ones we have in Koreatown.
Well, I have to talk to my friends and see how flexible they are. Thank you. ![]()
I didn’t know private rooms are actually a thing. I love that concept as I don’t like to embarrass myself beyond my friends. ![]()
Private rooms are the way to go, I swear. ![]()
