I am not the biggest supporter of Karen Bass, but she is way better than that crazy woman Nithya Raman. We can't afford another experiment like George Gascon. That super progressive stuff doesn't work. L.A. just got safer. We don't need another "defund the police" lunatic.
If Nithya Ramen wins, then it's over. Crime will spike again and nothing will get done. Left is okay, but that far-progressive nonsense didn't work with George Gascon either. Why? Because he wasn't prosecuting criminals. We finally replaced him, just like San Francisco replaced their progressive DA Chesa Boudin.
Nithya Raman is the worst choice we can make. Every decent human being needs to understand, that this won't work. Keep your children safe!
Oh gosh, I’m pretty liberal on a lot of issues, but Raman is too far left for me. LA needs someone who can actually balance progressive ideas with public safety, homelessness, housing and basic city services. Ideology shouldn’t come before results.
I am with you. Karen Bass wasn't amazing, but voting for Nithya Raman is utterly wrong.
Hard pass on Raman for mayor. My biggest concern with Raman is public safety. I don’t want LA going back toward policies that make residents feel like enforcing the law is somehow a bad thing. LA has enough problems already.
Brother, I don't like either of those two. I'm not sure which is the lesser evil at this point. All these politicians are just blablabla.
A lot of words, no action. I don't care who wins.
Right, I feel the same.
But I watched Nithya a couple of times myself. I don't think she should be the next major. She seems far too "progressive". I don't want another George Gascon bringing chaos.
Los Angeles voted against George Gascon, as we had had enough of him. I doubt that people have already forgotten. I can't see Raman pulling this off.
I will vote for Bass, not because I like her, but like someone said before, she is the lesser evil. At least crime has gone down now after Nathan Hochman came into office. There's no point in going back to anarchy.
I don't care much about politics. I don't even vote for the most part.
But I might have to get up and vote against Nithya Raman in 2026, just as I voted against Gascon. I feel things would just get really bad with her as mayor. Karen Bass isn't that bad compared to her.
I don't know how to feel about it. Los Angeles needs some change. I'm not saying Ramen has my vote. I just keep my options open for now.
Sometimes it's still worth it to cast your vote. Like back then when Gascon ran against Hochman. Some elections actually make a difference.
Man I'm sorry but we don't need another experiment. ![]()
All that nonsense on her website like -> "Fill the potholes, pave the roads, plant trees, turn on streetlights, and put a park near where you live." Yeah, right, put more parks and create more housing at the same time. Like the city has endless space and money. The first thing that shows up on her website is a big "DONATE button".
Then her anti police retoric like she didn't learn from the past. I like that she wants to bring back small businesses, but how? Where is her actual plan? She goes into detail about "bringing back Hollywood jobs", but what is with all the other sectors? Nah, not feeling her agenda at all.
How can we avoid her? By getting out and voting. If she is elected (I hope she isn't), she won't last longer than four years. That was the same with Gascon. Sometimes people just need to feel the heat for a while.
