No offense to anyone living there, but my girls and I had that discussion. I know Inglewood has changed over the last few years, especially with SoFi Stadium, new developments, more businesses moving in. Yet it still seems to have a mixed reputation depending on who you ask.
Would you consider living in Inglewood today? I want to be honest and open about where I stand -> I still wouldn't.
Right now, most likely not. That said, a lot of areas have changed due to gentrification. Palms, for example, had a different reputation some decades ago. It’s now considered a very safe and clean neighborhood. So I wouldn’t say “never”, but it’s still unlikely. I
Inglewood is underrated. People who haven’t been there in 10 or 15 years still talk about it like nothing has changed. I grew up here, so I can see the difference. I wouldn't want to move. Prices are going up, but I got a very good grandfather lease. Most of my friends live here, I am totally happy with how things are nowadays.
I don't mind the reputation, it keeps things affordable.
Certainly not without knowing the exact cross streets. Inglewood is one of those places where a few blocks can make a pretty noticeable difference. Some parts feel totally fine, others I wouldn’t be comfortable walking around late at night or even during daytime. It's not so different from downtown. Good & bad are just some streets apart.
I have never really been to Inglewood. That's the magic or curse, however you see it, of LA’s freeway system. LA’s freeway system is basically designed to make you drive past entire neighborhoods without ever knowing what’s actually there.
Tha't right. I am not different. All I know about it comes from television.
I wouldn't mind as long as I am close to the stadium.
Being close to SoFi and LAX is certainly a plus, but I am a beach person. That's the reason why I wouldn't move to West Hollywood either.
As for the reputation, it's certainly getting better and more expensive. Having the world's most expensive stadium helped with the crime problem, but I bet some of the people living there aren't as happy about the rent prices now.
Or the traffic, just sayin'..
I never considered it, but never say never. Who knows. Maybe my future man wants to move there one day and has good arguments.. 
Inglewood isn’t Watts.
Inglewood ain't that bad anymore. It has some good and some not so good areas. It's not like it was 20 years ago. Sometimes people need to step out of their little bubble.
Inglewood is undergoing serious gentrification. That’s why a lot of folks have to move out.
I would go so far and say the most rapid and significant gentrification in entire L.A. county.
A one bedroom in Inglewood goes for around 2000 nowadays.
