What are the best affordable 4-star hotels in Santa Monica?

My parents want to visit me. My place in DTLA is too small.. plus they love the beach. Can anyone recommend a nice hotel in Santa Monica?

Not too expensive and at least 4 stars.

The Huntley is probably the best 4-star hotel in Santa Monica. My parents stayed there twice. Gorgeous views, clean room & great food. It's not cheap, but they got some deals depending on the time of the year.

If that is too expensive, check the Ambrose. It's a bit further from the beach (like 6 bus stops). The hotel itself is nice, underground parking is rather expensive.

I would try the Pierside Santa Monica. It's next to the beach, has a gym, rooms are generally clean and prices are more than fair for that area.

I can't really recommend a hotel, but whenever I went, I looked into Airbnbs. Hotels in Santa Monica are rather on the expensive side.

If your parents want a bit more room, give it a try. Some of those places are better than most hotels (minus the service, of course).

I thought about that too. They have never tried Airbnb in their lives. :joy:
