Kogi BBQ truck is still undefeated for me. I know it’s kind of OG at this point, but the Korean-Mexican combo just hits every time. The short rib tacos are crazy flavorful. I remember chasing their location on Twitter back in the day.. :joy: It’s one of the few food trucks that actually lives up to the hype. Plus it feels very “LA culture” to me. Still go whenever I see it around.

Mariscos Jalisco in Boyle Heights (technically a truck setup) is on another level.

Their shrimp tacos are legendary for a reason. Crispy, juicy, and the sauce just makes it perfect. It’s one of those places where you don’t even need to think, just order the same thing every time. It’s super simple but done perfectly.

I have taken friends there (even so it’s not “my area” and they still talk about it weeks later. Definitely a must-try.

Some of the best trucks don’t even have names. There’s a random taco truck in East LA I go to that has the spiciest salsa I have ever had. No branding, just a line of locals, which is how you know it’s good. Everything is super fresh and cheap. Those are the spots I trust the most. LA food trucks are all about finding those hidden gems. Way better than the trendy ones sometimes.
