I keep hearing that Raffi’s Place is one of the best Persian restaurants in the Los Angeles area. The kabobs seem to be especially popular. Is it worth the drive to Glendale???
I would also like to know whether it gets busy. Are reservations recommended?
I had to check my pictures as I wasn't sure if the place I went to was Raffi's. 
Turns out I went there in April 2023. I remember we went there because there was a nice European bakery in Glendale. The food was really good. Service was also on top.
Thanks for bringing up that memory. I don't eat that much Persian food. That one is worth a visit.
Tried it twice. It's a bit far from where I live. I enjoyed the food, but expect it to be crowded, especially on Friday and Saturday evenings. I would make a reservation if possible. Parking around that part of Glendale can also require a little patience.
Glendale has some of the best bakeries in Southern California. Do you remember which one it was?
Great spot for dinner. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it a great spot for a relaxed dinner. The food is incredibly flavorful and authentic, especially the kabobs. Weekdays aren't super busy. They can serve large or small groups efficiently, with little notice.
True, but there is some valet parking.

It was something European. Probably something French or German. I most likely went for some eclairs.

They are really good. You must try the chicken koobideh. It was so amazing I actually can't describe it! The waiters were also very attentive and provided excellent service. One goes there for food, service, and atmosphere. The only thing I didn't like that much was the bread. It seemed a bit flat, but that's just a small thing.
The portions there are absolutely massive. We always take half of it to go.
Came here a couple of times and this is the perfect post 5 mile hike meal. As you said, the portions are impressive, but amazingly tasty.
Tips on parking: Yes, valet is 12 dollars, but across the street, it's 90 minutes free, then 3 bucks an hour. Sometimes you find free parking as well (not on weekends).
That's nice to know. I already made a reservation for the weekend. I don't want to risk being rejected or waiting two hours.
Aww, I appreciate that you checked that. It looks really delicious. I don't know much about Persian food either. The thing is that a friend comes over and she is really into that.
