How much do you pay for car insurance?

Type of cover, car (if you want), monthly payment.

Let me begin -> Lexus ES 2023.

$240 for full coverage.

2023 Tesla Model 3, full coverage. About $310 monthly. It’s expensive, but other companies quoted me closer to $400.

I had one speeding ticket and that played a role as well. Might switch back to basic coverage soon.

My cost for full coverage insurance on a 2024 Audi A6 in Santa Monica is around $280.

Paying 1.4k a year for basic coverage.

It makes no sense to upgrade that. I am driving a rather old car that doesn't have much value.

I bought a used Ford some weeks ago.

Insurance is 120 dollars for the minimum coverage.

Right.

I feel full coverage only makes sense if you have no experience and a car worth 40-50k or more. Otherwise, you pay in 3-4 years more for insurance than your car is worth.

I got lucky. I drive a company car. I don't have to worry about paying insurance.

That is about the same as what I pay for the 2024 Model Y. Switching to basic in two years or so. For now, it's still worth it.

Just too many crazy drivers out there. xD

My basic insurance covers uninsured drivers up to 5k, I believe.

That's pretty much what my car is worth. :face_savoring_food:

$280 for full coverage for my 2023 Audi.

90 dollars for basic.

Looks like I won.

It's really unacceptable that rates have surged over 30% since 2022. The number of uninsured drivers seems to be rising. Which then adds to that cycle.

Okay, after reading this.. I decided that I don't need a car as a student.

The tram will do the job just fine.
