“An illegal alien from Mexico living in the Lincoln Heights area of Los Angeles was sentenced today to 37 months in federal prison for pouring two bottles of lighter fluid onto a burning California Highway Patrol (CHP) vehicle and throwing an electric scooter over a freeway overpass near officers during an anti‑immigration law enforcement riot in downtown Los Angeles last year.
Yachua Mauricio Flores, 23, was sentenced by United States District Judge John F. Walter, who also ordered him to pay $253,415 in restitution.”
Wow. Was someone actually held accountable? I doubt he will be able to pay that fine. It will be us taxpayers who have to pay up for the LAPD cars.
I really don’t understand why some people are that stupid. Was it worth it? Nah? That is what I thought. George Gascon would have painted him as the victim. Glad we voted that guy out.
I don’t feel sorry for any of them. The ringleader of that riot faces up to 20 years. He will be sentenced later this year and will probably end up with 10+ years.
Let’s hope they serve as an example and people learn.
