This place is right at the corner of Motor Ave & Palms Blvd. It's easy to overlook because the sign is kind of hidden behind some plants. I think I paid $13 for that bowl (see the picture below). The guy who worked in that open kitchen was very friendly. So I thought I'd share this place, as the food was authentic, tasty & very affordable.
My friend, who's lived in that area for 15-plus years, didn't even know it existed. As I said, it feels kind of hidden, but it's worth a try.
I think it's been there for at least 5-6 years. I went there once after getting gas at the ARCO across the street. The food was great and cheap. I'd go there more often if I lived in the area. Those are the little, local places we should support.
Yep, that is exactly why I shared it. Creating a topic on a page like this can drive more traffic than another Google review, since it can rank on its own.
I never thought of it like that, true. 
That place looks lovely. I was surprised it has 300+ reviews, as it looked small. I saw on Maps that it has a small outdoor seating area. I'm not sure how nice that experience would feel, since traffic on Motor / Palms is pretty heavy.
Would like to check it out one day..
I lived on the block behind that building for some years. Traffic is indeed bad. The neighborhood itself is lovely. I would have probably ordered to go if I were still there.
I love to take in the vibe sometimes. 
Especially when it's a place like that one. I prefer open kitchen concepts. Otherwise, you never really know what's happening in the back. It's fun to watch them working their magic.
I went there once before we bar-hopped in Palms and Culver City. I remember I talked to the owner for a bit. He seemed like a friendly dude. Food was good as well.
I don't remember the name of the place next door, but it was also very good. My friend went for a lobster roll and bragged about how good it was.
