I wanted to share my favorite Taco place in DTLA with you. Most people have probably never heard about it, but it has a 5.0 rating on Google and is truly special. I go mostly for the pastor, asada, and chorizo. Authentic flavours and many options available. They are sooo good!!! Everything is fresh & delicious. The lady who works there is super sweet.

Aww… that place looks cute. Just checked the Google reviews. 5.0 with over a hundred reviews is wild for a spot that small. Definitely adding this to the rotation. Any other hidden taco spots in DTLA you’d recommend? I travel into Downtown for work and mostly order via Eats/Grubhub for lunch. I will walk for this one.

Yep, this is 8th and Grand.
I never waited longer than 5 minutes before it was my turn.

Not really, to be honest. The only other place that comes to my mind is Tacos Los 2 Brothers. It’s like a 15-minute walk from 8th and Grand. Right on the other side of the freeway via 7th Street. They serve mouthwatering tacos as well.
I think I tried that one. I'm not 100% sure, but I remember having some amazing street-style tacos around 8th.
That was around the time The Standard closed its doors. So some years ago. I will try it again. Thanks for the insight.
I wish I could eat all of that now.

Good to know the wait is short too, that corner gets busy. Adding it for my next time downtown, the pastor and chorizo sound exactly like what I want.
They look like they are coming from a family run taco stand in Mexico. 
L.A. is incredible when it comes to food.
Those places are the best. 
I feel every neighborhood has at least one or two of them. They aren’t easy to find, but they exist somewhere. LA is a taco paradise.
