The weather, mindset.. tacos. That’s the answer. Al pastor at 1 a.m. from a truck that’s been in the same lot since before I was born. You can argue about which spot, but you can’t argue that this city does Mexican food better than almost anywhere.

The people. I love the people in L.A. and it doesn’t even matter if locals or tourists. Sometimes I prefer spots without the tourist vibe, granted, but I feel, everyone who comes here, comes for a reason.

The food scene in general. You can eat Korean BBQ, Oaxacan, Ethiopian and a $4 street dog all in the same weekend and none of it tastes wrong. The city’s just built different when it comes to eating.
Then you got the nature, the ocean, the hikes, a different crowd. I think you need to live here or at least visit long enough to understand.

I wouldn’t wanna live anywhere else. To sum it up: Food, people, weather, mindset, rooftop bars, ocean, palm trees, amazing hikes, wide freeways, blue skies, best friends, different vibes, missing that whenever I go on vacation.

That was beautiful to read.
The only thing I would add is “being able to be yourself.” If there is one place in this world, where you can be whatever you want to be, it’s Los Angeles. You can’t go more west to pursue your Western World dreams. Yeah, some of us fail, maybe most of us don’t become what we intended to be, but at least we tried. That’s the beauty of this city.

I think I don’t need to post more value or anything to this thread anymore. Everyone explained perfectly what this city is about. I am happy I was able to connect with people like you in L.A.. 
Let the rest of the world hate us, say we are fake, all that matters is that we feel what we feel living here.

I love the city as the whole, the good and the bad. It’s expensive, traffic sucks, but the vibe is worth dealing with all of it.

I went to Europe, Dubai, the Bahamas.. it’s always nice, I love the journey, I wouldn’t stay there forever.

I considered moving because of how expensive everything got, but never because I hated L.A..
There are other cool places, no doubt..
