What’s your favorite spot to watch a sunset in Los Angeles?

Where do you go to watch a sunset over Los Angeles? Can be the beach or city views, I’m open to both.

Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook in Culver City. Just go up the stairs (or the way around them) and you will see downtown one way, ocean the other. Way less chaotic than Griffith. Parking is easy.

The Sunset Tower in West Hollywood is also lovely.

Harriet's Rooftop for a nice dinner with sunset views. I adore this spot. They have a superb bar and tasty food. Great for first dates or anniversaries .

That’s an impressive view. That place deserves its own thread. Absolutely lovely. :100:

I want my next date to bring me there. :sob:

If I had to pick three -> Runyon Canyon, Spire 73 or Carbon Beach Club restaurant in Malibu.

The Santa Monica Pier is nice, but gets super crowded during sunsets. If you want more romantic vibes check out the stretch just one mile to the west of it. Same sunset views, barely any people.

That’s the part I am talking about..

Griffith Observatory is a bit more touristy, but offers amazing views. Come early enough to find some parking. If you come 10 minutes before sunset then you might miss it.

Point Dume if you want cliffs instead of a pier. Park at Westward Beach, walk up to the bluff. Quiet compared to Santa Monica and sun drops straight into the water. Thank me later..

Los Leones Canyon, more precisely the Paseo Miramar Viewpoint. That’s my favorite sunset hike.
Work your way up and enjoy the views over the Santa Monica Bay and the Pacific.

I swear it’s breathtaking.
