Not sure if anyone else lives like this, but this is basically my life in LA right now.
I work remote in IT, so most days I’m just at home coding, gaming, or watching random stuff.
Some days feel super productive.
Other days, I barely leave my apartment..
Living in Koreatown actually fits this lifestyle pretty well though.
Everything is close, food is always available (even late), and I don’t really need to plan much. If I get bored, I just walk outside and grab something. At the same time, it can feel a bit repetitive.
Work → screen → food → screen → sleep
I think the biggest challenge for me is balance.
It’s easy to stay inside all day, especially working remote.
Curious if anyone else is in a similar situation?
Working remotely in LA or just spending a lot of time at home. How do you deal with it? I am 27 now and sometimes I feel like I’m just letting time pass instead of building something real. Most of my social contacts are other gamers on Twitch or Discord.
Anyways, I will share more updates periodically. I will eventually break this cycle.
I also worked remote and it’s crazy how fast days just blur together if you don’t actively break the routine. Like.. you think, “I’ will go out later,” and suddenly it’s midnight again.
One thing that helped me a bit was forcing small habits, even just going out for a 20–30 minute walk or grabbing coffee somewhere instead of staying inside all day. Doesn’t fix everything, but it breaks that loop a little.
K-Town is actually pretty good for that since everything’s so close. Gladly, the same accounts for my WeHo area.
Are you actually trying to break that cycle right now?
